Colorado State hosts rival Colorado in sold out Moby Arena

FORT COLLINS – The Rocky Mountain Showdown returns to the hardwood on Saturday when Colorado State hosts Colorado inside a sold out Moby Arena at 3 p.m.
 
It will be a green out inside Moby, as fans are encouraged to join the team in wearing green.
 
Opening Tip
- Colorado State caught fire in the second half against South Florida to defeat the Bulls 83-68 in the closing game at the Battle 4 Atlantis.
- The Rams shot 78.3% in the second half including making their first eight 3-point attempts.
- CSU finished the game shooting 61.2% including 72.7% behind the arc.
- The 16 made 3s tied for the sixth most in program history and two off the Record. The Rams' 72.7% mark was the second best in program history behind the percentage of 73.3% against Northern Colorado in 1997.
- Josh Pascarelli led the charge behind the arc going a perfect 8-for-8 on his way to 28 points. It was a career-high made 3-pointers for him. The eight makes were one off matching the program record of nine done three times.
- Pascarelli's perfect shooting from 3-point is the best mark in program history. 
- Jevin Muniz dished out 10 assists in the win. It was a career-high for him to go with seven points, six rebounds a steal and a block.
- Muniz was the first Ram since Isaiah Stevens in 2024 to record at least 10 assists.
- Carey Booth continued his streak of double-figure scoring games moving it to eight. He had 16 points in the win.
- Jevin Muniz impacted the game in all different ways with eight rebounds, six assists, four points and three steals. 
- The Rams surpassed the 20 assists mark for the second straight game and fourth time this year with 23.
- CSU ranks 26th in the nation and leads the Mountain West in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.75.
- The Rams 19.3 assists per game are the best in the Mountain West and 19th in the nation.
- Colorado State is assisting on 71.0% of its made field goals on the year, the best mark in the NCAA.
- CSU is third in the nation for free throw percentage at 81.4%.
- The Rams are averaging 19.5 made free throws per game, the third best mark in the Mountain West and 92nd in the nation.
- Kyle Jorgensen's performance over the first week earned him Mountain West Player of the Week honors. The sophomore averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steal in the first two games of the season.
- The Rams have shot the ball efficiently this year with an effective field goal percentage of 63.8% ranking second in the nation.
- CSU earned a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25 and third in four years.
- Colorado State's 26 wins in 2024-25 tied for the second most in program history. They finished one win behind the record of 27 set by the 2014-15 team. 
- The Rams welcomed the best transfer portal class in the Mountain West in 2025 ranking 61st in the nation.
- Colorado State has the longest active streak of having a player on the first team All-Mountain West list at seven years. Nico Carvacho (2019-20), David Roddy (2021-22), Isaiah Stevens (2023-24) and Nique Clifford (2025).
- Nique Clifford became the fourth player in program history to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft in June. Clifford was the 24th pick overall by Oklahoma City with his rights traded to Sacramento.
- Clifford had one of the best seasons in program history his final year. He earned AP All-America honorable mention, was the MVP for the Mountain West Tournament and helped the program earn its first Mountain West title since 2003 by winning the Mountain West Tournament.
 
Scouting the Buffaloes
Colorado enters Saturday's game at 8-0 and one of 15 teams in the nation still without of loss.
 
Isaiah Johnson leads CU in scoring while coming off the bench averaging 15.1 points per game. He does a good job getting to the free throw line having shot 57 free throws this year making 82.5% of them.
 
Four other Buffs are scoring in double figures as well.
