CSU to host Neurodiversity Inclusion Day

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State men's basketball concludes its non-conference portion of the schedule on Sunday afternoon when they host Northern New Mexico at 1 p.m.
 
The game is about more than basketball as CSU hosts it as a Neurodiversity Inclusion day featuring information and resources about neurodiversity along with a sensory room available for those in attendance.
 
Opening Tip
- Colorado State extended its win streak to four games defeating Dartmouth 76-55
- The 55 points are the lowest amount by a CSU opponent so far this season.
- Five Rams finished the game in double figures scoring led by Brandon Rechsteiner's 14 points. Kyle Jorgensen (12), Jevin Muniz (11), Josh Pascarelli (10) and Jase Butler (10) joined him in double digits.
- Pascarelli is coming off being named the Mountain West Player of the Week after his performance against Colorado. The junior scored 26 points connecting on eight 3-pointers for the second straight game.
- Pascarelli is 18-for-20 from behind the arc his past three games and 23-for-28 from the field.
- Colorado State had 13 steals in the game and forced a season-high 15 turnovers.
- Nine different Rams recorded a steal in the game. Carey Booth led the team with a career-best three.
- The Rams are one of 10 programs in the nation shooting over 50.0% overall, 35.0% from behind the arc and 75.0% from the free throw line.
- Colorado State ranks in the top 3 in the nation for field goal percentage (53.4, 2nd), 3-point field goal percentage (45.4%, 1st), free throw percentage (81.2%, 2nd) and effective field goal percentage (64.8%, 1st).
- CSU ranks 36th in the nation and leads the Mountain West in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.64.
- The Rams 18.2 assists per game are the second best in the Mountain West and 36th in the nation.
- Colorado State is assisting on 65.0% of its made field goals on the year, the 11th best mark in the nation.
- CSU is third in the nation in free throw percentage at 80.9%.
- Kyle Jorgensen's performance over the first week earned him Mountain West Player of the Week honors. The sophomore averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steal in the first two games of the season.
- CSU earned a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25 and third in four years.
- Colorado State's 26 wins in 2024-25 tied for the second most in program history. They finished one win behind the record of 27 set by the 2014-15 team. 
- The Rams welcomed the best transfer portal class in the Mountain West in 2025 ranking 61st in the nation.
- Colorado State has the longest active streak of having a player on the first team All-Mountain West list at seven years. Nico Carvacho (2019-20), David Roddy (2021-22), Isaiah Stevens (2023-24) and Nique Clifford (2025).
- Nique Clifford became the fourth player in program history to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft in June. Clifford was the 24th pick overall by Oklahoma City with his rights traded to Sacramento.
- Clifford had one of the best seasons in program history his final year. He earned AP All-America honorable mention, was the MVP for the Mountain West Tournament and helped the program earn its first Mountain West title since 2003 by winning the Mountain West Tournament.
 
Scouting the Eagles
Northern New Mexico is an NAIA team that the game will count as an exhibition for them on Sunday.
 
The Eagles enter the game 2-7, coming off a week win on December 1 against Justice College 88-82.
 
Harkirath Makhar leads the team in scoring 19.2 points per game and also grabs a team-leading 5.0 rebounds per game.
 
NNMC has struggled defensively allowing 85.9 points per game and teams are shooting 49.0% on the year.

Next up is Mountain West play for Colorado State. The Rams open the 2025-26 Mountain West season traveling to Logan, Utah to face Utah State on Saturday, December 20 at noon.
