NOTING THE GAME
- Road Rams: Dating back to the 2024-25 season, Colorado State has won nine-straight road games which is a top-five active streak in the nation. Since the start of last season, CSU is 10-2 on the road. CSU's 8-2 road record last season was the program's best winning percentage on the road since 2015-16 season (.923, 12-1).
- Defense Wins: Colorado State's defense has been elite to start the season, giving up an average of just 53.6 points per game which is among the top 25 in the country. The Rams have held eight opponents to 60-or-fewer points, with four being held below 50. CSU is holding its opponents to just 34.6% shooting from the floor (33rd) while committing just 13.1 fouls per contest (11th), seriously limiting the opportunities of its opponents.
- Rams Protect The Rock: The Rams do a lot of good things, but one of their secrets to success is actually something they DON'T do: Turn the ball over. The Rams have led the nation in fewest turnovers per game each of the past four seasons, coughing it up just 8.7 times per game in 2024-25 which was the only mark below 10.5 in the country. Over the past decade of NCAA DI women's college basketball, only two programs have averaged less than nine turnovers a game across a season: Villanova (2014-15, 2015-16), and Colorado State (2022-23, 2024-25). Nothing new to begin 2025-26 as the Rams are averaging just 9.8 giveaways, second in the country.
- Spreading the Sugar: Colorado State has scored 70-or-more points in seven of its 10 games this season, averaging 70.3 and doing so with a balanced scoring attack. CSU has six players averaging at least 7.5 points, compared to just four doing so in 2024-25.
- BargessHER: Lexus Bargesser transferred to Colorado State from Indiana over the summer and has become one of the top mid-major players in the country this season. The senior guard does everything on the floor for the Rams as she is one of just 16 players nationally -Â and the lone in the MW - to average at least 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals.
- 20-Or-More: Colorado State has been a model of consistency under head coach Ryun Williams as the Rams have won 20-or-more games in each of the past four seasons. Throughout Williams' 13 seasons at the helm of the program, CSU has won at least 20 games in nine of those years.
- One Last Ride: The 2025-26 campaign marks the final in the Mountain West for Colorado State as the Rams announced they will be leaving the league to join the Pac-12 beginning in the summer of 2026. Colorado State was a founding member of the MW in 1999 and have won seven conference titles (tournament and regular season) since. The Rams are looking to establish themselves as the leaders of the Pac and have gone 11-1 against future conference foes since the start of the 2024-25 season.
- Loyal Rams: In an age of college athletics where playing at multiple schools has become the norm, Marta Leimane and Hannah Ronsiek have shown that sometimes it's best to plant your roots and grow. The pair of fourth-year seniors have combined for 191 appearances and 111 starts over their four seasons in the Green and Gold, helping the Rams to three-consecutive 20-win campaigns. Entering their final season of eligibility, the duo are set on winning their first conference championship together.
