Rams Finish Sixth at Clover Cup

Kaneshiro notches fourth top ten finish of the season

LINTCHFIELD PARK, Ariz.  – The Colorado State women's golf team finished sixth overall at the Clover Cup, hosted by Notre Dame in Lintchfield Park, Arizona, Wednesday afternoon playing +31 as a team with Kara Kaneshiro leading the Rams with a tenth-place individual finish, her fourth top ten finish this season.

  • Leading the way for the Rams was Kaneshiro who totaled 11 birdies across three rounds and one eagle during round three. She finished the tournament +1. The sophomore finished under par in the first and third rounds of the tournament. Her top-ten finish is her fourth overall this season as she continues to be the Colorado State ace.
  • Making her return to competition for the Rams and finishing in the top twenty is senior Katie Stinchcomb. The Arizona native finished 19th overall shooting +5. She totaled 10 birdies throughout the tournament including five in round three, finishing off the tournament strong with an even round.
  • Freshman Ebba Thalen had her best round of the tournament on day two, playing +2 in round two to finish +12 and in 31st place overall. She totaled six birdies on the week, including three in round three.
  • Jacinda Lee followed close behind Thalen, continuously improving her score each round to finish +14 and in 35th place overall. She shot a +2 in round three including three birdies to finish her tournament strong. Overall, she added seven total birdies.
  • Senior Lacey Uchida finished also added three birdies in her third round playing +4 on day three of the tournament.
 
Up Next: Colorado State will return to its spring season for the Chattanooga Classic March 28-30, playing at the Honors Course in Chattanooga.
