Rams look to continue postseason stretch

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State men's golf will make its fourth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance, competing May 12–14 at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington.

The Rams qualified as the No. 9 seed in the 14-team field after a consistent 2024–25 season highlighted by three tournament wins and nine top five finishes across 13 events. Their best team performance came at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, where CSU shot 828 at 36 under par — a program record for score to par across 54 holes.

Season Results That Earned the Bid
Colorado State tied for fourth at the Mountain West Championship and posted a second round 268 at 20 under par, the second lowest team round to par in program history, behind only a 267 at the 2022 Ram Masters. The Rams finished the championship at 842 at 22 under, their lowest score at a conference tournament since joining the Mountain West in 2000.
The team averaged 285.3 in four-counting rounds this season and recorded 12 rounds of even par or better. CSU finished under 850 in five tournaments this year, including each of its last three.

Lineup Breakdown
Christoph Bleier leads CSU with a 71.30 scoring average and 10 rounds in the 60s. He won The Duck Invitational at 203 and tied for first at the 2023 NCAA Auburn Regional. He was named All-Mountain West honors for the second time in his Colorado State career. He was previously named to the All-Conference team following the 2022–23 season.
Jay Pabin holds a 72.07 average and is coming off a career-best 205 and fourth-place finish at the Mountain West Championship.
Jake Rodgers (72.27) and Matthew Wilkinson (72.36) also contributed multiple top 25 finishes this spring. All four returners have recorded rounds of 65 or better this season, and three players — Bleier, Alessandro Trenta and Roy Willemsen — each posted a low round of 64.

Proven in May
Colorado State advanced to the NCAA Championship in 2023 after finishing fifth at the Auburn Regional. The Rams also qualified for nationals in 1999 and 2011. Their lowest team score in NCAA Regional play came in 2019 when they shot 819 at 21 under at the Pullman Regional before falling in a one-hole playoff for the final advancing spot.

Several Rams have seen the Gold Mountain layout before, including Bleier, Wilkinson and Rodgers, who played there in recent seasons. Head coach Jack Kennedy is also familiar with the course from his time coaching in the West Coast Conference.

The top five teams from the regional will advance to the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California, May 23–28.
