Rams Head to Denver for In-State Matchup

No. 25 Colorado State carries unbeaten start into road test against Pioneers
FORT COLLINS — For the first time in program history, Colorado State soccer appears in the national rankings, checking in at No. 25 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Rams (6-0-0) will put their unbeaten start on the line Sunday, Sept. 14, when they travel to face in-state foe Denver at noon.
Series History
- Denver leads the all-time series 3-1-2. In the most recent meeting between the two, a 2-0 Pioneer win in 2023 in Fort Collins. CSU's lone victory in the series came in 2019.
- Denver is 3-3-1 following a 3-1 road loss to Arizona State on Sept. 7. It will host Colorado on Thursday before facing the Rams.
- Samantha Dreiling and Brooke Ahern share the team lead with two goals each, while Isabella Chidiac has three assists. Goalkeeper Alina Santos has started every match, playing all 630 minutes.
- Colorado State's 6-0-0 start extends the best in program history and has drawn national recognition with its first appearance in the top 25.
- Goalkeeper Gray Willson totaled five saves last week, including a shutout at Northern Colorado. She has allowed just two goals all season across six matches.
- Olivia Fout scored her 19th career goal in the win over UC San Diego, tying Caeley Lordemann's all-time program mark. She also matched Lordemann with 44 career points.
- Michaela McGowan recorded her third assist of the year on Fout's goal, while scoring her second goal of 2025 in the same match.
- The Rams' back line has limited opponents to just 20 shots on goal across six matches, while the Rams have scored in all six outings.
Colorado State continues its road swing at Omaha on Friday, Sept. 19, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. in Omaha, Neb.
