Colorado State wraps up time in Portland with five set win
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Colorado State Rams won over the Matadors on Friday afternoon ending their run at the Portland invitational with a victory.

- The Rams started off Friday's match in dominant fashion, taking the first set of the day 25-13, continuing their streak at the Portland Invitational. Delaney McIntosh led the Rams on a 6-0 service run, including two aces, giving the Rams a lead they maintained through the set.
- Colorado State extending their lead in the second set with a 25-21 victory fueled by Maria Brun who added five kills to her tally in the second frame alone.
- The Matadors came back to take the third set 25-23 despite a late 4-0 Ram run in the redzone of the frame.
- With a back-and-forth battle in the fourth set the Matadors kept momentum on their side winning 25-22 to force a fifth set.
- In the fifth set, Zosia Szczotkiewicz led a nine-point service run that marched the Rams to victory with every point within the run either a kill or block from the front row force of Halle Jameson, Kekua Richards and Jazen DeBina.
- The Ram block had a huge presence in Friday's win with Kekua Richards totaling 13 blocks while four other Rams also contributed a least here block assists for a team total of 18 total blocks.
- Jameson led CSU in kills with 17 hitting at a .250 clip setting a career-high for herself. Maria Brun and Brenna Rowland also contributed double-digit kills totaling 13 and 10 respectively. Â
