FORT COLLINS – Colorado State track and field haven't seen action in over a month, however they are ready to resume the indoor season following holiday break. The CU Potts will serve as a starting gun for 2026 this Friday and Saturday in Boulder, Colorado.

MEET NOTES

Friday will provide all the field events, in which several Ram standouts look to get into the flow of things. Among the throwers is the dynamic trio of Kajsa Borrman, Klaire Kovatch and Makayla Long on the women's side. This group swept the weight throw at the Wyoming Power Meet (Dec. 6) earlier this season with Borrman claiming the top mark.

The men's side sees a pair of jumpers making waves across the NCAA. Ndayiragije Shukurani ranks fourth in the nation in the triple jump after his monster PR of 15.91-meters/52-feet-2.5 at the UCCS Invite and Multis (Dec. 13,). Additionally, Jamison Taylor ranks 21st across the nation in the long jump with a mark of 7.47/24-6.25.

Most sprinters will make their season debuts including several transfers in Ashton Whisler (UCCS), Sean Donelson (UCCS), and Trenton Givens (NAU).

Saturday will be the first time the Rams see their long-distance runners compete since the conclusion of the cross-country season. 2025 cross country standouts return to action including freshman Tatum Berg. Berg had a prolific freshman season, winning a pair of MW freshman of the week awards and a women's athlete of the week. The men's side sports Chris Henry, who finished top-60 in the Mountain Regionals.
