A road test awaits as women’s tennis takes on doubleheader challenge

FORT COLLINS – With passion running high and rackets ready, the season's next challenge brings energy, urgency and opportunity.

The Colorado State women's tennis team will travel to Spokane, Wash., to compete in a pair of dual matches on Jan. 30, opening the day against Gonzaga at 12:00 p.m., before facing Eastern Washington at 5 p.m. Both matches will be played in Spokane and will be live streamed.

The Rams enter the weekend after splitting their most recent home matches. The Rams earned a 4-1 victory over Seattle, highlighted by strong singles performances across the lineup. The following day, Colorado State fell 4-1 to Montana State.

This doubleheader will challenge the Rams both physically and mentally, as facing two opponents on the same day demands depth, focus and resilience. The early season test will allow Colorado State an opportunity to evaluate its lineup under pressure while continuing to build momentum and chemistry as the spring schedule unfolds.

Friday's matches mark an opportunity for the team to build momentum away from home while continuing to gain experience against regional opponents early in the season. The team will look to carry the energy from its recent win into a challenging road environment.
