SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Colorado State triumphed over San Diego State with a 2-0 victory at SDSU Softball Stadium on Friday. Colorado State's Reagan Wick delivered her fourth complete-game shutout of the season.

Colorado State secured a 2-0 victory over San Diego State. In the second inning, Madi Eslinger initiated the offense with an infield single to shortstop, with Autumn Rutherford following it up with another infield single. Jac Smith added to the lead with a single to third, bringing Rutherford home. At the end of the second inning, the score was 2-0 in favor of the Rams.

Colorado State's five hits came from Jailey Wilson, Kyra Smith, Eslinger, Rutherford and Jac Smith, all contributing to the offensive effort for the Rams, leading to their win.

Wick pitched a complete game shutout, allowing no runs and limiting San Diego State to seven hits while striking out four. Wick advances her record to 9-5 on the season with this win.
English recorded four assists, contributing significantly to the defensive effort as she recorded the final out of the game allowing the Rams to leave two Aztecs on base with the winning run at the plate.
The defense held firm throughout, maintaining the lead from the second inning onward.

Up Next: The Rams will face the Aztecs two more times in the next two days, returning to SDSU Softball Stadium on Saturday at 5 p.m. MT.
