MEET NOTESÂ Â
MEET NOTESÂ Â
- As tradition, Friday will only hold one event in the hammer throw. Making her debut this weekend in the hammer is 2025 outdoor NCAA Nationals competitor Kajsa Borrman. Borrman made the trek to NCAA Outdoor Nationals last summer in the hammer throw finishing Second-Team All-America. She is coming off an indoor season in which she finished First-Team All-America in the weight throw (the indoor season equivalent). Borrman is second in CSU history (67.27-meters/220-feet-8) only behind former national champion Loree Smith. Â
- Making his outdoor season debut is freshman standout Owen Langdon. The Texas-born hurdler won gold at the Indoor MW Conference Championships in the 60m hurdles. Langdon will compete in both the 110 and 400 hurdles on Saturday with the record book in his sights. Â
- Another hurdler making their outdoor season debut is senior Neya Jamison. Jamison, like Langdon, won gold in the 60-meter hurdles and has been elite in both outdoor hurdle events in her career. She enters her senior season with the ninth best time by a Ram in the 100 hurdles (13.90) and third best in the 400 hurdles (58.18). Â
- Several Rams competing this week have their eyes set school records including sprinter Kenny Carpenter in the 400. Carpenter set the indoor record early last year, then surpassed it at the MW Championships; he currently sits seventh in the outdoor record book. Â
- Men's throws look to keep up their momentum from last week, bolstered by the return of Leonardo Ramos. Ramos returns from an injury and looks to be a huge member of the throws squad as he ranks fourth all time in the shot put, eighth in the hammer throw and sixteenth in the discus.Â
