2020 (Senior) [Game-by-Game Stats]: Started all 23 games at first base before the season was ended early due to the COVID-19 Pandemic... Was third on the team with a .282 batting average and a .808 OPS... She totaled 20 hits, including four doubles and four home runs... She also added a team-high 18 RBI and scored six runs... Posted a .507 slugging mark with 36 total bases... While at first, she added 150 putouts and six assists... Recorded a 4-for-4 game against Canisus on Feb. 23 with four hits, two RBI, two runs scored, including a double... She also blasted a pair of homers against Purdue on March 6, totaling two runs, two hits and four RBI.
2019 (Junior) [Game-by-Game Stats]: Appeared in 49 games making 48 starts mainly at first base... Finished the year with a .386 batting average with 49 hits, nine doubles, a triple and 11 homers... Scored 14 runs and recorded 41 RBI... Posted a .732 slugging mark and a .401 on-base percentage... Had 10 multiple hit games and 11 multiple RBI contests... Held an eight-game hitting streak and finished the year on a four-game streak... Reached base eight consecutive times during the year... While in the field she was perfect with 204 putouts and two assists.
KENTUCKY
2018 (Sophomore): Hit a home run against Cal State Fullerton in her home state to get her first-career hit with a solo HR over the left field wall... Got a pinch hit appearance in the seventh inning at Auburn in game three.
2017 (Freshman): Utility player off the bench... Can both pitch and hit... Appeared in five games with five at bats.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Alison Niguel High School in 2016... Coached by Alan Caouette... Was named the team MVP and captain as a senior... Was also named to the all-league team and all-country... Made her way up to the top-20 player of the county... Named all-CIF team and was apart of the high school PGF all-stars.
PERSONAL: Born on August 31, 1998 in Long Beach, California... Daughter of Lanny and Shawna Ruiz... Has a younger brother, Hayden... Majoring in health and exercise science... Wants to be a strength and conditioning coach... Chose CSU because: "It made a lasting impression on me when I visited the campus. I was incredibly impressed by everything the University has to offer. It provides an encouraging and involved community of people with the same goals and passions. People are really adamant about getting involved in organizations and activities. This campus truly offers what some would call the complete college experience. Along with many great resources for student-athletes to succeed."... Favorite athlete is Amanda Freed.
