2008 (Senior Indoor/Junior Outdoor): Andres scored during the indoor season with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000 meters (15:31.64) at the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 28). During the outdoor season he compiled two scores. He finished in third place in the 3,000 meters (9:07.48) at the Front Range Championships (May 3) and finished in sixth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:20.05) at the MWC outdoor championships (May 14). He also qualified for the Midwest Regional in the steeplechase.

2007 (Junior Indoor/ Sophomore Outdoor): Andres was a very consistent scorer during the outdoor season, finishing with two scores at both the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 21) and the MWC outdoor championships (May 9). At the Jack Christiansen, he finished sixth in the steeplechase (9:59.65) and seventh in the 5,000 meters (16:01.44). At the MWC championships, he finished in seventh place in both the 10,000 meters (31:59.47) and the steeplechase (9:18.66).

2006 (Sophomore Indoor/Freshman Outdoor): Andres scored twice during the outdoor season, both in the steeplechase. The first came at the Rob Upton Invitational (March 25) with a fifth-place finish (10:29.19) and the second came at the MWC outdoor championships (May 10) with another fifth-place finish (9:24.16).

2005 (Indoor Freshman): Andres scored during the indoor season at the Air Force Invitational (Jan. 21), where he finished ninth in the mile (4:29.36). He then redshirted the outdoor season.

High School: Andres was a varsity letterwinner in three sports while attending Albuquerque (N.M.) Academy. He was named cross country all-city four times and all-district five times, and track all-city twice and all-district three times. He was named all-state four times in cross country and three times in track. He was a four-time individual state champion in track. He holds the 4A state record in the 1,600 meters (4:20.04).

Personal: Andres was born March 5, 1986, to Chris and Mary Beth Urbina in Las Cruces, N.M. He has a sister, Rachel.
