Ricki Walker Drafted in National Pro Fastpitch Draft

Colorado State senior first baseman Ricki Walker was selected in the fifth round, 36th overall, of the National Pro Fastpitch Senior Draft on Dec. 6, 2003. Walker, who was selected as a third-team Easton All- American last season.
In 2003 Walker led Colorado State in batting average (.377), hits (60), homeruns (9), RBI (46), and her .660 slugging percentage ranks fourth all-time in the Ram record books. Walker also recorded a .993 fielding percentage committing only three errors in 409 chances at first base.
The National Pro Fastpitch League, which consists of eight teams, will enter its inaugural season of play on June 1, 2004. The 56-game schedule will run through Aug. 31, and includes best-of-three Divisional Playoff and a best-of-five Championship Series.
