Junior Jessica Strickland and sophomore Lauren Cusick have been tabbed by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as members of the All-West Region Team. Strickland was named to the first team as a designated player, while Cusick earned second-team consideration at third base.

Strickland led the team in nearly every offensive category including overall batting average (.415), while hitting at a .382 clip in conference play. Strickland ranks near the top of the MWC in a number of categories in conference games and also appears on the national charts in multiple places. Her .415 batting average and 0.98 runs per game rank 28th and 20th, respectively and her 0.35 doubles per game is 14 in the nation. This is Strickland's third All-Region selection. She also earned first team honors in 2005 and was placed on the second-team as a freshman in 2004. Strickland, along with former standout Sarah Fredstrom, are the only two players in school history with mulitple selections to the All-Region first team.

Cusick has started all 52 games for the Rams at third base. She led the MWC with seven doubles in conference play, ranked second in plate appearance (81) and was third in at bats (72), sixth in hits (27) and eighth in total bases (40). For the season, Cusick led the Rams with 11 multiple-RBI games and ranks second with nine home runs overall. This marks Cusicks first All-Region selection.

Both Strickland and Cusick will now be considered for a positions on the All-America Team.
