FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State has landed one of the top high school tennis players from Utah, signing Tori Arneson to a National Letter of Intent, Head Coach Jon Messick announced Wednesday.
Arneson, a finalist as a No. 1 singles player in Utah's 2007 state tournament, hails from Ogden High School.
"Tori is a great fit for our program," Messick said. "She is a hard worker, an intense competitor and has the ability to adapt her game to compete against a very high level of player. She also has great experience in doubles. We expect her to step in next year and contribute right away."
Ranked as a singles player in the Top 5 in the Intermountain Region and among the Top 150 nationally, Arneson led her school to a second-place finish at the `07 state championship earlier this year. Rated as a four-star prospect by TennisRecruiting.net, she also received the Wendy's High School Heisman award at Ogden.
She plans to major in health and exercise science at Colorado State.
