SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Freshmen Dani Chaplin and Kelli Eubanks each added to their respective win totals for the season on Saturday, both tossing complete games at the San Diego Classic I. Colorado State (11-8) defeated Santa Clara 10-1 in five innings, followed by a 1-0 victory against Oregon.

Senior Kim Klabough and junior Allison Majam combined for seven of the team's 10 RBI against Santa Clara. Klabough finished the game 2-for-3 with four RBI and a run and Majam finished 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs scored. Klabough gave the Rams a 4-0 first-inning lead when she homered to left field to plate juniors Ashley Munoz and Majam, who both singled earlier in the inning. Majam's first-inning single plated freshman Caitlan Stem for the first run of the game.

Chaplin (4-2) allowed one hit in the top of the fifth inning, but shut the door on the Broncos, striking out the final two batters to end the game and give the Rams their 10th victory of the season.

Stem was the only Ram to cross home plate against Oregon, scoring the game's only run in the top of the first inning on a throwing error by the Ducks' third baseman.

One run proved to be sufficient as Eubanks (4-1) threw her fourth complete game of the season, allowing only four hits while striking out two Oregon batters.

Colorado State concludes tournament play Sunday for a 3 p.m. MST first pitch against UC Davis.
