Rams sweep Day 1 of Triple Crown Fall College Classic

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State recorded two victories on the first day of the Triple Crown Fall College Classic, defeating Regis 3-1 in the first game and Adams State 9-1 (5) in the second game.

The Rams are now 4-0 in fall exhibition play.

Junior Caitlan Stem led the Rams with four RBI in the two games, recording a two-RBI single in the game against Regis and a two-RBI double against Adams State.

Sophomore Amilia Stephens launched a walk-off, three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning against Adams State to secure the 9-1 victory.

Colorado State concludes tournament play Sunday against Fort Lewis and Metro State. First pitch with Fort Lewis is set for 1:15 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. start against Metro State.
