FRESNO, Calif. – After a day of rest, Colorado State picked up right where it left off on Sunday, scoring nine runs on eight hits en route to a 9-1 victory over Princeton in five innings at Bulldog Diamond Tuesday.

CSU now has won 10 of its last 11 games, including five straight, and is 16-4 over its last 20 contests.

Princeton (2-8) cut the Rams’ lead to 3-1 in the top of the fourth inning when Kelsey Quist recorded a sacrifice fly to plate teammate Collette Abbott from third. Abbott singled to lead off the frame.

Colorado State (17-8) answered in the bottom half of the inning when Stem singled and scored on an error by the Tigers’ second baseman.

The Rams’ added five more runs in the following frame. Colorado State’s first two runs in the inning came off of walks and hit batters.

Stem earned her fourth RBI of the game after the Rams had a 6-1 lead. She singled to left field to score sophomore Lyssa Roberts, who drew a walk earlier in the inning.

Sophomore Jenna Krogh recorded her two RBI of the game and secured Colorado State’s 17th victory of the season when she singled to center field to plate Sullivan and fellow senior Kayla Kreutzman.

Sophomore Kelli Eubanks started in the circle for the Rams, tossing all five innings, allowing one run on two hits while striking out three.
