FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State remained undefeated at home Thursday with the help of sophomores Kelli Eubanks and Jenna Krogh.

Eubanks tossed the first no-hitter of her career while Krogh secured the Rams’ first conference victory, an 8-0 rout over Utah, with her first career home run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

“It was really nice to see Kelli settle in and throw the game she is capable of,” Head Coach Mary Yori said. “Our hitters stayed patient and gave us a much-needed win heading into tomorrow’s game.”

Seniors Allison Majam and Robyn Mask each finished with two RBI and a run for Colorado State (23-14, 1-3 MWC). Majam tallied the first RBI of the game in the third inning when she singled through the right side to plate Krogh and junior Caitlan Stem.

Mask tallied the Rams’ fourth run of the game when she singled up the middle in the same frame to plate Majam.

Senior Rebecca Penland gave Colorado State a 6-0 advantage over the Utes (17-21, 0-3 MWC) in the bottom of the fourth after she doubled to left center to plate sophomore Christine Thomsen. Penland scored the Rams’ seventh run of the game when Mask singled to record her second RBI.

With two outs in the bottom of the fifth, Krogh belted a walk-off, solo shot to right field to secure Colorado State’s 23rd victory this season. The run rule ended the game.

Eubanks (17-9) tossed her third complete-game shutout of the season while recording her first no hitter as a Ram. She allowed two base runners in five innings while tallying six strikeouts.

Colorado State returns to Ram Field on Friday and Saturday to face conference foe BYU at 4 p.m. MT and 1 p.m. MT, respectively.

Friday’s game is CSU Staff Appreciation Day at Ram Field. Colorado State staff members are invited to register for a postgame home run contest on the field. Saturday is Junior Ram Club Day with members invited to the field to form a tunnel during player introductions.
