FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State women's tennis team will conclude its regular-season play this weekend. The Rams will travel to Laramie, Wyo. Friday to take on the Cowgirls, before returning home to host the team's final match of the season, honoring the Rams' three seniors, against Air Force.

The Rams, 8-11 (0-6 MWC), come into Friday's match looking for a win, carrying two consecutive losses on their shoulders. As for their competition, both the Cowgirls, 11-8 (1-5 MWC), and the Falcons, 15-9 (1-5 MWC), come into weekend play after sustaining losses last weekend against No. 73 TCU.

The Rams will honor its three seniors, Caitlin Fluegge, Kaitlin Wooldridge and Melissa Holzinger during the intermission of its match against Air Force at the CSU tennis complex.

In her fourth season with the Rams, Fluegge has maintained the No. 1 singles position while being honored as captain in her final season. In last year's play, Fluegge was 7-0 in Rams team victories.

In her second season with CSU, Holzinger has led the Rams in singles winning percentage during the past two seasons, going 27-16, including a 22-17 record during dual play. In addition to her exceptional play on the courts, Holzinger earned honors as Mountain West Player of the Week, MVP last season, Scholar-Athlete award from the ITA, in addition to academic all-conference honors from the Mountain West.

In last year's match against the Cowgirls, Colorado State fell, 6-1, in its last regular-season match. The Rams' sole win of the dual came from Tori Arneson when Wyoming's Alexandra Kovacs went down with an injury after being down 3-0 in the first set.

The Rams also seek to improve their 5-2 loss against Air Force. Despite The Falcon's victory, Holzinger earned her 11th victory of the season and her first win playing at the No. 4 singles position. Veronika Wojakowsaka was also victorious at No. 6 singles, tallying CSU's final point.

Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Rams against Air Force on Saturday to honor the three seniors in their last regular-season matches. Admission is free and first serve is set for 1 p.m. In the event of poor weather, check CSURams.com for any time or location changes.
