FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Colorado State’s exhibition softball game against Utah on Saturday has been canceled because of forecasted snow in the region. The decision came after the Utes elected not to travel to Fort Collins because of the weather.

The Rams will close their fall exhibition season on Saturday, Oct. 12, hosting their annual alumni game. The event coincides with the university’s Homecoming & Family Weekend and begins at 9:45 a.m., prior to CSU's Homecoming football game vs. San José State. Admission to the softball game at Ram Field is free.

CSU has played six exhibition contests this fall, hosting CSU-Pueblo and Colorado Christian before traveling to Lincoln, Neb., last weekend to play Nebraska and Nebraska-Omaha.

After a second-place finish in the Mountain West in 2013, CSU returns six seniors this spring.
