FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State Rams softball team honored its four seniors on Sunday afternoon at Ram Field, as the final game of the scheduled series against Nevada was cancelled due to poor field conditions.
CSU's four seniors - Kristina Akiona, Jaelyn Manzanares, Holly Reinke and Maci Stouffer, along with manager Tori Nakashima - were joined by their family pregame and given flowers by the Rams coaching staff. The five then received a ceremonial first pitch from their mothers.
The game management staff and coaches determined that the warning track was not dry enough to play on. Due to player safety concerns, the group agreed to not play the game. All three games of the series were cancelled due to weather and field conditions.
The Rams will play their final series of the regular season at UNLV beginning Friday.
