Bridgette Hutton receives MW Pitcher of the Week honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State sophomore Bridgette Hutton was named Pitcher of the Week in the Mountain West, the league announced Tuesday.

Hutton becomes the first CSU player to earn a weekly award from the conference this season. The honor is also the first of her career.

The Platteville, Colo., native went 2-1 on the week and posted two complete game performances, including shutting out UNLV on Sunday. Over the two complete games, Hutton allowed just one earned run and 10 baserunners with nine strikeouts.

Hutton had a career-high eight punch-outs against Northern Colorado on Tuesday, allowing only two hits to the Bears in Greeley.

The right-handed hurler has a 3.70 ERA in 21 appearances for the season, with three complete game shutouts. She also has a team-high 55 strikeouts and 10 total complete games. She's also contributed at the plate this season, knocking three home runs and nine RBI, including one in her win over the Rebels on Sunday.
