FORT COLLINS, Colo. – For its first road trip of the season, the CSU women's golf team will head to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to participate in the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational Sept. 26-27 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course (Par 71; 6,803 yd.).
PARTICIPENTS
The field of 18 teams includes: GU, Northern Arizona, Long Beach, Idaho, Indiana, Hawai'i, BYU, Minnesota, Colorado State, Colorado, U of Illinois, Oregon State, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington State, New Mexico, Fresno State and South Dakota State.

The Rams will play a standard play five, count for four even, this week. For CSU, the lineup will be:
A RECAP OF PTARMIGAN RAM CLASSIC
Junior Katrina Prendergast carded a Colorado State record-low 65 in the third round of the Ram Classic on Sept. 19 to finished with a 208 (-8) on the tournament. The Rams finished tied for third on the weekend with an 872 (+8). Ellen Secor followed in fifth place with a 213 (-3), Haley Greb tied for 13th (219), Fiona Hebbel finished tied for 67th and Jessica Sloot tied for 69th.
THOSE WHO ARE RETURNING
Annie Young returns for her fifth year as head coach for the Rams. Other returners include junior Katrina Prendergast, and sophomores Ellen Secor and Jessica Sloot.
NEW FACES
The Rams have added three new faces to the roster.
NEW ASSISTANT COACH
This year, the Rams welcome Tommy Baker as the new assistant coach. Baker previously coached the women's team at Saint Leo University. The Lions qualified for the NCAA South Super Regional in each of his four seasons as head coach. He set multiple school records including: lowest team round – 279 (-9), lowest team 36 holes – 571 (-5) and lowest individual round - 66. Baker earned his bachelor degree in exercise and sport science from UNC – Pembroke in 2006 and his masters in physical education with a concentration in sports administration in 2008.
LOOKING FORWARD
The Rams closed the 2016-17 season with a team stroke average of 305.56, the eighth-best in school history. The 2015-16 season had the best team stroke average of 297.72.
PRENDERGAST SHINES DURING SOPHOMORE SEASON
Katrina Prendergast finished her sophomore season, placing in the upper-third of the NCAA Regionals field. She posted a 6-over 222, tying for 32nd during the three-day tournament. Her score tied a school record, along with Brianna Espinoza in 2012.
She ended her sophomore season with a season stroke average of 74.31, the third-best in school history, and also owns the record, with a 73.69 as a freshman in 2015-16. In two seasons, she is a two-time NCAA Regionals participant and two-time All-Mountain West selection.
RAMS TRIO LAND ON WGCA ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLAR TEAM
The Rams had three student-athletes placed on the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar team. Brianna Becker and Elisabeth Rau, both 2017 graduates, and sophomore Jessica Sloot received the honor. This is the 23rd consecutive year that Colorado State has had a student-athlete be named to the team. Head coach Annie Young now has eight student-athletes named to the WGCA All-American Scholar team.
TWO RAMS QUALIFY FOR U.S. WOMEN'S AMATEUR
Katrina Prendergast and Ellen Secor qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur in the summer of 2017. Prendergast posted a 69 at the qualifying round in July at the CommounGround Golf Course in Aurora, Colo., and Secor posted a 72 at the qualifying round at Cameron Park Country Club in Cameron Park, Calif.
SUCCESS IN THE CLASSROOM
Jessica Sloot is the only returning player to be named a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete for the 2016-2017 season.
WHAT THE FALL SEASON HOLDS
The Rams will take on some difficult courses as the season progresses, going to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Sammamish, Wash.; Las Vegas, Nev.; and ending the fall season in Irvine, Calif.
WHAT LIES AHEAD
The Rams will head to Sammamish, Wash. to participate in the UW/Edean Invitational, Oct. 10-11.

- Haley Greb – A freshman from Pendleton, Ore., Greb competed on the varsity golf team all four years at Pendleton High School. In her senior season, Greb won the State Championship.
- Fiona Hebbel – A native of Levekusen, Germany, Hebbel transferred from King University in Tenn., and helped King University win their first Conference Carolinas title, and finished 11th at the Conference Carolinas Championship with a stroke total of 154, shooting 79-75. She led King University with a stroke average of 77.56.
- Brooke Nolte – A transfer from Bowling Green State, Nolte, a Melissa, Texas native, qualified as the number one player as a freshman. She was the only player on the team to finish top two in all events on the team.
