Colorado State Women’s Golf Tied for 11th after Day One at Coeur D’Alene Collegiate

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – The Colorado State women's golf team sits tied for 11th after the first day at the Coeur D'Alene Collegiate Invite hosted by Gonzaga. Junior Katrina Prendergast leads the Rams with a 138 (-4) after the opening day – which 36 holes were played.
 
The Rams finished the first round tied for 10th with a 291 (+7) as Katrina Prendergast paced the squad carding a 68 (-3) which was tied for first. The junior recorded two birdies and an eagle. Sophomore Ellen Secor also finish under par with a 70 (-1) with a team-best six birdies. The final three Rams concluded the opening round with scores: Brooke Nolte 76, Haley Greb 77, Fiona Hebbel 81.
 
Round two saw Prendergast continuing to lead the Rams, carding a 70 to finish the day in fourth with a four-under par and five shots behind the leader. The senior marked four birdies, including three-straight on holes 16-18. Secor finished the second round even at 71 and is tied for 15th after the first day. Haley Greb shaved off a few strokes from her first round, carding a 73 in the second round with four birdies. Finoa Hebbel closed the second round with a 78 and Brooke Notle recorded a 74.

Colorado State totaled 30 birdies in the first two rounds, which is the third most at the tournament.
 
The Rams will finish the Invite tomorrow starting with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. MT.
