AUSTIN, Texas – Colorado State women golfers Katrina Prendergast and Ellen Secor finished round one of the NCAA Austin Region on Monday. Prendergast, who is playing in her third regional in as many years, finished tied for 32nd with a one-over 73 in the opener. Secor finished tied for 91st with a 10-over 82 in her postseason debut.

The Rams duo were paired together in the first round at the University of Texas Golf Club starting on the 10th hole. Prendergast started the day with a one-under 35 on the back nine, inking three birdies in the first four holes. After the turn, she cut her score down to three-under with just three holes to play, while also recording two more birdies and being tied for first. The final trio of holes gave the vet trouble as she double-bogeyed the next two before finishing the day with a par. CARD

Secor looked to start her postseason career strong, but struggled to dial it in during the first round. The sophomore inked her lone birdie of the day on 14 and recorded six pars. CARD

The pair will look to move up the leaderboard in round two on Tuesday both starting at 7:50 a.m MT. Prendergast is set to tee off hole 1, while Secord will start on hole 10. PAIRINGS
