FORT COLLINS, COLO. – Fresh off breaking their single-season win record, the Rams are looking to add to that with plenty of season left, continuing with Fresno State and San Jose State this weekend.  
 
Promotions:
  • Friday's game against Fresno State is this season's State Pride Game. Student-athletes will be wearing alternate white jerseys with the state of Colorado logo.
  • Additionally, this year's soccer scarves are making their debut and will be on sale throughout the season at home games
  • Sunday will be Pups at the Pitch where fans can bring their dogs and enjoy some soccer!
  • Lastly, on Friday and Sunday, the soccer program is pairing with Soccer Without Borders – Fort Collins. There will be an ambassador that will be accepting donations of soccer gear. Things to donate include: cleats, soccer balls, shin guards, jerseys, socks, gloves, and more. (Link: https://col.st/nAoW4) 
    • The Soccer Without Borders MISSION is to use soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing under-served youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion, and personal success.

  • The 2019 Rams are etching their names in the record book, breaking their single season win record against Air Force last Sunday, and now sit 7-4-1 on the season 
  • Sophomore keeper Gabi McDonald broke the school record for saves in a game, booking 12 against Colorado College last Friday 
  • CSU currently leads the Mountain West in total saves (70) with McDonald saving 69 of those herself 
  • The Rams are searching for their first wins against both Fresno State and San Jose State
 
Fresno State Quick Hits:
 
  • The Bulldogs sit second in the Mountain West in corners (62) and fifth in goals per game (1.4). They continue to put pressure on defenses with significant offensive possession 
  • Between two goal keepers, Fresno State currently has a .758 save percentage on the season (8thin the MW), giving the Rams an opportunity to capitalize on offense 
  • The Bulldogs feature a balanced offense with 10 scorers, but none that have over three goals on the season
 
San Jose State Quick Hits:
 
  • SJSU is returning seven starters from last season, but they are currently led in goals (3) by a new face, freshman Sabrina Weinman 
  • The Spartans are ranked last in the Mountain West in shots and have been held without a goal in seven matches
  • In the net for SJSU is sophomore Ariana Romero, who enters the weekend fourth in saves per game (4.09) and total saves (45)
