ÂSEAL BEACH, Calif. – The Colorado State women's golf team finished the first day of the Gold Rush in 11th place recording a 306 in the first round and ending Monday with a 298. Jessica Sloot leads the Rams tied for 23rd with a 149 (+5).

Sloot started the day carding a two-over par 74 in the first round, making three birdies over the round and posting one-over par on both the front and back nine. In the second round, the junior added another three birdies over the 18 holes, including paring nine.

Ellen Secor follows Sloot tied for 29th after moving up nine spots after the first round. The junior carded a five-over 77 in the first round, marking a trio of birdies and eight pars. In the final round of the day, Secor started on the back course on number 11 and made the turn at even par after inking a pair of birdies. She started the front course with another birdie to sit at one-under the rest of the front before making a double bogey on the final hole to end the round at one-over.

Haley Greb follows tied for 38th carding a 77 in the first round and 75 in the second, while also recording an eagle in the first round and a team high five birdies in the second. Katrina Prendergast and Saga Traustadottir both finished the first day tied for 49th.
