Anthony Perkins joins Rams’ staff as cornerbacks coach

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State head football coach Mike Bobo announced the addition of Anthony Perkins as cornerbacks coach on Wednesday. Perkins brings more than seven years of coaching experience, including the last two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"I am excited to welcome Anthony Perkins and his family to Colorado State," said Bobo. "Anthony brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will make an immediate impact and a great addition to CSU."
Perkins arrives in Fort Collins following two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an assistant to the head coach. While with the Bucs, Perkins organized and oversaw day-to-day operations of the players and staff, while also working with defensive backs and assisting defensive back coaches Jon Hoke and Brett Maxie with player skill and development. He also assisted defensive coordinator Mark Duffner in weekly preparations on defense with game and practice planning.
Prior to the NFL, Perkins spent two seasons at Ohio University (2015-16) as the defensive cornerbacks coach and was one of Tampa Bay's Bill Walsh Minority Interns during the 2016 mini-camp and with the Tennessee Titans in 2015. Before his time with the Bobcats, Perkins spent two seasons as the defensive secondary coach at Indiana State (2013-14).
Perkins is no stranger to Colorado, as he was a four-year starter for the Buffaloes (2007-11) before being on staff as a defensive quality control assistant in 2012. He also spent time with the Denver Broncos during their training camp in 2012, appearing in all four preseason games.
