QUOTES
Head Coach Jen Fisher on the week…
"Stony Brook is at a high level in its conference and they looked really strong. I thought it was a really good win for Jessica (Jarecki). Obviously we hit the ball really well against them and Danni (Klein's) home run; that was the dagger for them. It is always great to have a team like Nebraska in the tournament – a perennial NCAA Tournament contender. We typically play them in the fall, but it was great to get a W over a quality team and a Hall of Fame coach. They are young this season in a lot of ways, but I was proud of the way we took advantage and got a win.
Fisher on Bridgette Hutton's no-hitter on Thursday…
"She is so tough to square up and she does such a nice job. She has so many of these games where she gives up just four or five hits, but she has never had a no hitter. That is so hard to do and I am so proud of her. We had great defense and I know Jordan (Acosta) had a great catch in right that was played perfectly. Bridgette is the most humble kid you'll ever meet and it was so exciting to see her get a no-hitter."
STAT OF THE DAY
Colorado State added to its run total for the weekend with 21 runs scored on Friday, putting the weekend total at 37 and for the season outscoring opponents 95-33.
