THIS WEEK:Â The Colorado State women's golf team will head south of the boarder for its spring break and play at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational, March 21-23 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the par 72, 6,085 yard El Tigre Golf and Country Club.

FORMAT
The Hawkeye El Tigre Invite is a three-day, 54-hole tournament with 18 holes played each day. Thursday and Friday tee times will start at 12 p.m., MT, with the final round on Saturday TBD. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.

LAST TIME
This will be the first time the Colorado State Rams will be competing at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invite, much less the first time playing outside the United State.

CHAMPIONS
Colorado State took home championship honors at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate, Oct. 5-7 in Highlands Ranch, Colo. The Rams turned in a four-under 860 after finishing all three rounds under par. The score was the second lowest three-round score in program history. The first place finish was also the first time since the 2009-10 season when the Rams tied for first at the MountianView Invitational.

UP NEXTÂ
Following spring break in Mexico, the Rams head to Napa, Calif., for the Silverado Showdown, April 7-9 at the Silverado Country Club.
