Rams lose to Air Force, 4-0

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – In a match moved indoors due to weather, Colorado State never got on track in a 4-0 Mountain West loss to visiting Air Force Friday night. With the loss, the Rams fell to 7-7 on the season and 0-2 in the league, while the Falcons moved to 19-1 on the year and 1-0 in the conference.
"We just didn't play our best tonight," head coach Jarod Camerota said. "Whenever you play a team like Air Force, you have to be ready to go from the first serve. We just need to put it behind us, get a good practice in tomorrow and be ready to take on New Mexico on Sunday, hopefully outside for the first time at home this year. Thanks to another great crowd here at Fort Collins Country Club, as we have appreciated the support all year."
Air Force jumped out in doubles, getting wins at No. 3 and then No. 2 to capture the point. The Falcons then took the first two matches at No. 4 and No. 6 in tough battles but finishing in straight sets. The No. 5 singles match went extra games in both sets, with Air Force coming away with the 7-5, 7-6 victory to seal the victory and end the match, as it was played to decision.

The Rams will conclude their home schedule on Sunday, March 31, hosting New Mexico at noon at the CSU Tennis Complex. Between doubles and singles, CSU will honor its lone senior, Emily Kolbow. Admission is free. If the match is moved indoors to Fort Collins Country Club, it will start at 8 a.m.
