QUOTES
Head Coach Jen Fisher on the series sweep…
"The conference always seems tougher than our non-conference schedule. I think teams won't go away – that Utah State team kept scoring in almost every inning today. We really try and tell the team once we got to conference that 'it's more of the same' and try not to worry about who we are playing or what the name says on their jersey. It's pretty exciting, especially since it is tough to take three in-a-row or even two in a day [referring to yesterday's wins]. The mental fortitude of Bridgette Hutton yesterday and our offense this series was huge."
Rams 8, Aggies 4 | Box Score
Utah State started the game with a lead-off home run to take an early lead. Colorado State responded with a seven-hit eight-run first inning to lead 8-1. The Rams generated hits in every inning, but the sixth and couldn't push any baserunners across. Utah State hung around, scoring single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings before being put down in order in the final frame with three ground outs.
