THIS WEEK: The Colorado State women's golf team will head to the Mountain West Women's Golf Championship this week at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The course is a par 72 and plays 6,270 yards.

The field will be consist of the nine Mountain West Conference schools with women's golf: San Jose State, San Diego State, UNLV, Colorado State, New Mexico, Fresno State, Nevada, Boise State and Wyoming.
 
FORMAT
The Mountain West Championship is a three-day, 54-hole tournament with 18 holes played each day. Monday's tee times will start at 8 a.m., MT off the 1st tees and the Rams will be paired with San Jose State and Nevada. Groups for the second and third rounds will be determined by the scores of the first round. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
 
LAST TIME
The Rams posted its highest finish at the Mountain West Championship last season since 2010, finishing third. The Rams finished round one of the championship in eighth place, but fought back moving to fifth after the second round and up two spots in the finale to finish the Championship in third with a 31-over par 895 (306-295-294). CSU finished behind No. 41 UNLV and NO. 48 San Diego State.
 
CHAMPIONS
Colorado State took home championship honors at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate, Oct. 5-7 in Highlands Ranch, Colo. The Rams turned in a four-under 860 after finishing all three rounds under par. The score was the second lowest three-round score in program history. The first place finish was also the first time since the 2009-10 season when the Rams tied for first at the MountianView Invitational.
 
UP NEXT 
Following the Championship, the Rams will await their NCAA postseason feat.
