Kristen Noonan marks her third goal of the weekend in eighth minute
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Despite a goal in the eighth minute from Kristen Noonan, the Rams fell 2-1 to Marquette Sunday afternoon in the second match up between the Rams and Golden Eagles this season.
Â
Coming off a two-goal game on Friday against Valparaiso, Noonan didn't slow down and scored the first goal of the game just eight minutes into play. A beautiful cross from freshman Kendra Gipson lent itself to a header from Noonan that snuck its way past the Marquette keeper.
Â
Though Colorado State struck first, Marquette gained momentum and scored two goals in the last 13 minutes of play. The goals came from two Golden Eagle underclassmen, Macey Shock and Alyssa Bombacino.Â
Â
This road trip marked the end of non-conference play for the Rams, and they will be back at their home pitch this Friday to take on New Mexico.Â
