Rams Back at Ram Field Hosting Second-Place Rebels

Colorado State will face UNLV for a three-game series at Ram Field starting Saturday afternoon.
THIS WEEK
Colorado State will return to Ram Field and host second-place UNLV for three-games starting Saturday afternoon. Saturday will be a doubleheader with the first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m., MT followed by game two. The series will finish Sunday with a single game at 12 p.m., MT. All three games will be streamed on the Mountain West Network.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rams were on the road last week at Nevada. Colorado State took the second game of the doubleheader to set Sunday up for a rubber match. The Rams took the lead late in extra innings before suffering a walk-off.

AGAINST THE REBELS
The Rams hold a 48-42 overall record against UNLV, which also includes a 38-31 mark in Mountain West action. CSU and UNLV have faced each other consistently since 1996Â and every year since the Mountain West formed. Colorado State last faced UNLV in 2019 in Fort Collins and took the series and holds a two-game win streak against the Rebels. The Rams dropped the first game in 2019 by a run, before responding in the last two games.

Colorado State will welcome UNLV to Fort Collins, as the Rebels are sitting in second place in the Mountain West with a 21-10 overall record and a 13-3 mark in league play. UNLV has taken all five of its MW series so far this season, including sweeps against Boise State, San Jose State (forfeit) and Utah State. The Rebels had rubber matches at San Diego State and New Mexico.

The Rebels posted an 11-8 non-conference slate, which they faced then-No. 2 Washington, Utah and then-No. 3 UCLA, dropping all five contests.
