Rams Continue Mountain West Action Hosting Bulldogs

Colorado State will host Fresno State for a three-game series at Ram Field starting Saturday afternoon.

Colorado State will continue Mountain West action as it hosts Fresno State for a three-game series starting Saturday afternoon. Saturday will be a doubleheader with the first pitch at noon followed by game two. The series will finish Sunday with a single game at noon. All three games will be streamed on the Mountain West Network.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rams added a non-conference doubleheader last week at Weber State and split the pair. Colorado State was quiet in the first game, recording just four hits and one run. CSU responded in the second game with a season-high 13 hits and 12 run scored in a five-inning victory.

AGAINST THE BULLDOGS
The Rams hold a 13-39 overall record against Fresno State, which also includes an 8-13 mark in Mountain West action. CSU last faced Fresno State in 2019 at Ram Field and holds a three-game win streak against the Bulldogs after it swept them for the first time in program history, including a first-time run-rule victory in game two, (12-4//6). The Rams also shutout the Bulldogs in 2018 at Margie Wright Stadium for the first time ever and just the third time in series history.

Fresno State will travel to Fort Collins holding a Mountain West leading 22-7 overall record and an 8-1 mark in league play. The Bulldogs have won their last five games, which included a non-conference doubleheader against Santa Clara earlier this week. Fresno State swept its last MW series - against New Mexico last weekend. The 'Dogs lone loss in conference play was at Utah State on March 28, 6-5.

The Bulldogs had a successful non-conference slate, posting a 14-6 record, which included games against then-No. 1 UCLA in the season opener and then-No. 10 Oregon twice.
