Colorado State hosts Idaho State for Ag Day, International Student Day, and Alumni Weekend

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The excitement of Ag Day around Colorado State Athletics continues into Sunday when the CSU soccer team hosts Idaho State for a noon kickoff at the CSU Soccer Field.

In addition to the Rams wearing their Ag kits, CSU will be celebrating Alumni Weekend and International Student Day. For the latter, CSU's Office of International Programs will be joining the Rams in their lineup walk-out with international students holding their country's respective flags. The Alumni Weekend consists of a football tailgate on Saturday and a halftime presentation on Sunday at the soccer game where 10 former Ram student-athletes will be recognized.

"There are a ton of events, and we are excited that it is all coming together for this one weekend," head coach Keeley Hagen said. "When we started looking at dates, we saw it is CSU's all-sports alumni weekend and we wanted to start coinciding our event to match. We also wanted to get involved with our international group on campus and get them excited about soccer, which will enhance our environment and atmosphere. Lastly though, our focus is on the field with our ladies improving in the skills standpoint, our system and having more shots on goal."

The matchup between the Rams and the Bengals will be the first-ever meeting. Both squads are looking for their first wins of the season with CSU at 0-2-2 and ISU at 0-5-1.

"It has been really good for us to be able to train lately," Hagen said about having only one game this week. "We have been able to focus more and get more repetitions at practice in everything. We talked to the team today about them believing that they are getting better little by little and not necessarily focusing on outcomes. I've told the team, it doesn't matter the team we are playing, it's 'we must be better every single game' whether it is a non-conference opponent or conference opponent."
