Four CSU women’s golfers sit in the top 15 through the first round
KAPOLEI, Hawaii – Colorado State women's golf is off to a great start in Hawaii tied for first place after the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at Kapolei Golf Course. CSU and Gonzaga posted matching 6-under, 282s to lead the tournament by 10 strokes over host Hawaii.
Four Rams sit in the top 15 led by Sofia Torres and Andrea Bergsdorttir's matching opening round 69s. Sitting at three under, Bergsdottir had a team-high six birdies on her scorecard for her best round of the year. Meanwhile, Torres had five birdies to match her season-best round.
Pemika and Panchalika Arphamong sit in sixth and tied for 15th, respectively. Pemika shot a 2-under 70 with four birdies including back-to-back on holes 17 and 18. Panchalika sits at 2-over with a 74. She had a solid day with 16 pars and two bogies.
Round two of the tournament will tee off at 9 am HT/1 pm MT with the Rams starting on holes 1-5. Live results can be found on GolfStat.
