Two signees join Colorado State Softball’s Signing Class of 2022
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State softball Head Coach Jen Fisher announced Thursday the addition of Reagan Wick and Kaylynn English who have both signed national letters of intent to continue their softball career apart of the Ram family following high school graduation.
Â
Wick joins the Rams as a 5'5" pitcher out of Weimar High School in Weimar, Texas. The incoming pitcher boasts accolades that include being the named to the Texas All-State team as well as being named All-District MVP and Pitcher of the Year. She has competed on the championship level as her team finished their season as a State Semi-Finalist in both the spring of 2021 and 2022. She intends to major in Soil and Crop Science while at Colorado State and is the daughter of Scott and Jody Wick.
Â
"I absolutely fell in love with the campus, it is beautiful," Wick said. "I love the softball program and the coaches are amazing!"
Â
"Reagan Wick is a crafty lefty pitcher that we are so thrilled has chosen to be a Ram," Fisher said. "She took her small high school to great heights in the very competitive state of Texas, and her club team competed extremely well against top national competition. Reagan has a that no-fear composure on the mound that every coach dreams of and possesses a tremendous work ethic. She will add strength, flexibility, and balance to an experienced group. We really can't wait to add her to the pitching staff. Reagan's interest in Agricultural Science made Colorado State a perfect fit and we feel so fortunate that we were able to land such a highly rated recruit. We expect Reagan to be a staple on the mound over the next four years and quickly become a fan favorite, as her high character and love of all things CSU, shine."
Â
English joins the Rams as a middle infielder out of Legend High School in Parker, Colorado. The 5'5" incoming freshman boasts first-team all-conference selections in all three seasons she's competed in so far as well as a first-team all-state selection after her junior season in the spring this year. She plans to major in exercise science while at CSU in hopes of becoming a physical therapist or physician's assistant. She is the daughter of Joseph and Jennifer English.
Â
"I chose CSU because I love the environment of the school, the scenery, and most importantly, the people," English said.
Â
"Kaylynn English has been impressing me at CSU camps for years," Fisher said. "Her athleticism, grittiness, and teammate-ship are second to none. She plays the game hard, but with grace, creativity, and intuitiveness. We are so thrilled that she has chosen to stay close to home and represent the talented young cohort Colorado softball has to offer. Kaylynn is coming to us with championship experience at both the High School and club level. I believe that she will make an immediate impact on our team physically (in the infield, at the plate, & on the bases), but more importantly Kaylynn & her family will be impactful members of our Ram Softball Family."
Â
The Rams finished up their fall season with a 4-4 record and will start their spring season in early February.
