Colorado State concludes the Charleston Classic against Penn State
CHARLESTON, SC – Colorado State men's basketball wraps up its trip to Charleston with the third place again against Penn State Sunday afternoon. The Rams and Nittany Lions will tip-off at 4 pm MT / 6 pm ET on ESPNU inside TD Arena.
Opening Tip
- Colorado State dropped its first game of the 2022-23 season falling to host College of Charleston 74-64 on Friday evening.
- The loss snapped CSU's 15-game regular season non-conference win streak. The last lost before that was Dec. 19, 2020 at Saint Mary's.

Second-year Micah Shrewsberry has one of the best shooting teams in the nation. Penn State can light it up behind the arc, leading the nation in three-pointers per game with 13.2 while making them at a clip of 44.3%. Their effective field goal percentage is 17th in the NCAA at 49.1%.
Myles Dread and Andrew Funk lead the charge for PSU's three-point barrage making 3.60 and 3.40 per game. Dread is 28th in the nation shooting 54.5% behind the arc while Funk is making his at a clip of 41.5%.
Penn State was picked to finish 11th in the very competitive Big Ten. Guard Jalen Pickett earned a spot on the All-Conference preseason team. So far this year he is leading PSU with 14.4 points per game while adding in 5.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists.
What's Ahead
CSU will enjoy a small break not playing against until after thanksgiving when they start a run of four home games in the next five. It all starts on Saturday when Mississippi Valley State visits Moby Arena.
