10 Degrees of CSU Basketball
  1. Returning two starters and nine letterwinners from last year's 23-5 team advanced to the Elite Eight of the 2021 NCAA Tournament, Michigan enters the game with a 17-14 overall record and tied for seventh in the Big Ten Conference with an 11-9 record.
  2. This will be just the fourth meeting between the two programs, with the Wolverines holding a 2-1 advantage. The last meeting between the two schools was in the 2001-02 season, with the Rams picking up their only victory in the series, a 70-66 overtime win in Moby Arena. TBA
  3. Colorado State University and Coach Niko Medved have agreed to an amended contract that will keep Medved in Fort Collins through the 2028- 2029 season, the school announced.
  4. CSU has 25 overall wins on the season are the third most in program history and the 83.3 winning percentage is currently tops. The Rams finished at 14-4 in conference play, just the second time in school history that CSU had 14 wins in league, matching last year's 14-4 mark under Niko Medved.
  5. Medved now seventh in the CSU record book in coaching wins with 77 and is second in winning percentage. He is at 63.1 behind the late Boyd Grant (63.8%, 81-46). TBA
  6. CSU has been ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 for six weeks this year. Prior to this year, there had only been eight weeks previously in program history that Colorado State was ranked in the Associated Press poll, including four during the 1953-54 season.
  7. CSU had seven guaranteed opponents that played in postseason in 2020-21 on this year's schedule, combining for 12 games, with the Rams at 10-2 against those teams. It also had two teams that are in the NIT (Mississippi State, Utah State), with the Rams posting a 3-0 mark against that group
