Matsubara Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

The sophomore holds a 4.0 while majoring in anatomy and physiology
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Sophomore infielder Maya Matsubara was named to the first-team Academic All-District from CoSIDA, the association announced Thursday. Matsubara will be eligible to become an Academic All-American, which will be announced in June.

Matsubara holds a 4.0 GPA while majoring in anatomy and physiology. While on the field, she has appeared in 28 games, starting 21 of them mostly at shortstop. She is batting .268 and carries a .373 on-base mark, while drawing 10 walks.
