Colorado State and UNLV square off inside Moby Tuesday night

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State returns to Moby Arena for a pair of games this week starting with Tuesday's game against UNLV. Tuesday's game is the annual State Pride game. The Rams look to sweep UNLV after their hectic overtime win earlier this month in Las Vegas. Tipoff between the Rams and Rebels is set for 7 pm.
 
Opening Tip
- Colorado State fell to a hot-shooting Boise State team Saturday 80-59.
- Boise State shot 59.2% in the game, a CSU opponent high this season.
- Isaiah Stevens led the team with 19 points and five assists in the loss. He was the only Ram to reach double figures scoring.
- The next Stevens double-double will be the 10th of his career, making him the 22nd player in program history with double figure double-doubles.
- Cartier is 11th in the nation shooting 64.4% from the field. The mark leads the Mountain West.
- Colorado State won the first match up between these teams 82-81 in overtime thanks to the late-game heroics of Isaiah Stevens.
- Stevens scored 33 points to go with nine assists and eight rebounds in the win. He hit four 3-pointers combined in the final 30 seconds of regulation and overtime.
- Stevens has enjoyed his career against UNLV averaging 22.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists. He has twice eclipsed the 30-point mark against them.
- UNLV is coming off a 68-62 home win over rival Nevada on Saturday.
- EJ Harkless earned the Mountain West Player of the Week honor for his performance for the Running Rebels. He averaged 23.0 points and 8.5 rebounds as UNLV was 2-0 on the week.
 
Scouting the Rebels
UNLV picked up a pair of home wins last week against Wyoming and rival Nevada. EJ Harkless led the team with 23.0 points and 8.5 rebounds to earn Mountain West Player of the Week honors.
 
Harkless is averaging 17.0 points a game to lead the Rebels. He is one of three players averaging double figures along with Luis Rodriguez (12.1) and Keshon Gilbert (12.0).
 
UNLV looks to turn its opponents over and get out in transition averaging 9.7 steals per game to rank eighth in the nation and 13.86 fast break points.
 
The Runnin' Rebels forced 20 CSU turnovers in the first matchup, a season-high for the Rams.
 
What's Ahead
Colorado State stays at home Saturday to host Utah State at 6 pm. Saturday's game is the annual Fight Like a Ram game where CSU celebrates cancer warriors alongside partner UCHealth.
