Nevada used a 21-5 run to close the game against Colorado State
RENO, Nev. – Runs to end the first and second half by Nevada came back to hurt Colorado State as they dropped Wednesday's contest 80-69. Nevada closed the first half on a 13-1 run and the game on a 21-5 run over the final 6:50 of the game.

The loss drops Colorado State to 8-8 on the season and 0-3 in the Mountain West. Meanwhile, Nevada improved to 13-3 and 3-0 in conference play.

- Nevada started the game hot going up 10-2 in the first three minutes of play.
- Colorado State chipped away with mini runs throughout the first half taking a 30-27 lead on a 7-2 run with 4:43 on the clock.
- The Wolf Pack closed the half on a 13-1 run to lead 40-31 at the break.
- Patrick Cartier scored nine of the Rams' first 12 points as CSU cut the lead down to two early in the second half.
- Down 52-43, CSU went on an 11-2 run to tie the game and proceeded to take a 64-59 lead with a 10-3 spurt and 6:50 remaining.
- Nevada closed the game by out-scoring CSU 21-5, holding the Rams without a field goal for the final 3:58.
