CSU men's basketball takes on Air Force Tuesday night

FORT COLLINS, Colo.– It's a quick turnaround as Colorado State men's basketball heads south to take on Air Force Tuesday night. The game tips at 7 pm and will air on Mountain West Network and be joined in progress on Altitude 2 while airing over the airwaves on K99.1 FM.

Opening Tip
- A short-handed Rams team gave Utah State a fight on Saturday, falling 88-79. The Aggies sharp shooting from behind the arc was too much as they made 18 threes.
- Isaiah Stevens and John Tonje each reached the 20-point mark in the game. Stevens led the team with 25 points while Tonje had 20.
- Stevens added eight assists.
- James Moors had a strong game off the bench with 13 points and a team-leading seven rebounds.
- The next Stevens double-double will be the 10th of his career, making him the 22nd player in program history with double-figure double-doubles.
- Patrick Cartier is seventh in the nation shooting 65.9% from the field. The mark leads the Mountain West.
- Colorado State ranks in the top 15 nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.61, 7th), assists (17.7, 6th), effective field goal percentage (56.0%, 13th) and field goal percentage (48/8%, 13th)
- CSU looks to avenge an overtime loss against Air Force earlier this year 85-74 inside Moby.
- Air Force has dropped five straight games entering Tuesday night's game after going on a three-game win streak in early January.
- Nine of Air Force's 12 wins have come inside Clune Arena.

Scouting the Falcons
Head coach Joe Scott has his young Air Force team competing and running the Princeton offense well. The young Falcons have taken their lumps at time, including entering Tuesday with a five-game losing streak.

Jake Heidbreder and Rytis Petraitis lead the way for Air Force averaging 14.0 and 10.2 points, respectively.

Petratis also leads the team with 5.6 rebounds.  He has been named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week five-times.

The Falcons do a good job of holding their opponents from shooting the three. They are holding opponents to just 4.9 makes a game and at a rate of 28.7%.

What's Ahead
Colorado State will have over a week to prepare for Boise State. The Broncos visit Moby Arena on February 15 at 8 pm.
