Colorado State soccer opens its 2023 home schedule on Sunday
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The 2023 season kicked off on Thursday for Colorado State soccer and the home portion of the schedule starts up on Sunday afternoon when they host Louisiana Tech. The Rams and Bulldogs will faceoff at 1 pm at the Canvas Practice Fields. Due to the site change to the practice fields, there will be no stream available for Sunday's game.
Setting the Stage
Colorado State tied with Denver in their season opener on Thursday night 1-1. Louisiana Tech is spending the week in Colorado as they took on Colorado College Thursday night winning 3-1.
Series History
Sunday's game is the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Colorado State is celebrating its 10th season as a program.
Quick Kicks
- Auburn transfer Olivia Fout scored the Rams' goal on Thursday coming in the 25th minute.
- Fout was one of four newcomers to crack the CSU starting lineup. Joining her were Liv Stutzman, Avery Vander Ven and Mia Casey.
- A total of eight newcomers saw their first game action donning the Green and Gold kits.
- Colorado State out-shot Denver 17-9 and had five of them on goal compared to three from the Pioneers.
- CSU doubled up Denver in corner kicks 6-3.

Colorado State hits the road next week to face California Baptist on Sunday, August 27 at 5 pm MT.
