Rams Add Trio For Upcoming Seasons

Lizarazo will join lineup for spring
FORT COLLINS – Seeing the present and the future, Colorado State coach Mai-Ly Tran added a trio of players to the roster, one of whom will begin her career as a Ram this spring.

Diana Lizarazo, who will graduate from her high school in Bogota, Colombia next month, will be added to the roster immediately, giving Tran a full roster of eight for the upcoming dual season. With three players set to graduate in the spring, the addition of two freshmen for the 2025-26 season is the first step to replenishing the roster.

Colorado State resumes play Jan. 24 when it hosts Montana for the first dual of the spring.

An incoming freshman who will be eligible this spring season, she brings international experience to the roster. … She carried a career-best ITF World Juniors ranking of 183 and is currently the No. 2 ranked junior in Colombia. … Has advanced in multiple tournaments, reaching the quarterfinals of J3000 this year, as well as the J200 in La Paz and the J100 in California. … Was named the best athlete at her high school the past two years.

An accomplished juniors player, she hit at No. 84 in the national rankings for 16s. … Reached the quarterfinal of indoor nationals at Under 14 and qualified for the tournament again in 2019. … A 4-star recruit, she holds a national ranking of 125 by Tennis Recruiting, 18th in Mid-Atlantic and No. 10 in New York. … She holds an 8-6 mark against 5-stars, 11-7 vs. 4-stars and 10-3 vs. 3-stars. … Lived in Dubai for part of her childhood. … Her mother, Anna, played at Syracuse and is one of her juniors coaches.

Her arrival will give the teams a sister act, joining older sibling Logan. … Is ranked as a 4-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting, ranked 169 overall, 54th in the Southwest and No. 7 in her state. … Holds a 2-2 record against 5-star recruits, 11-18 vs. 4-stars and 16-5 vs. 3-stars. … Won a singles title and took second in doubles at the Huntsville, Ala., L$ in March of 2024.
