Norvell Makes Change to Defensive Coaching Staff

Linebacker coach Adam Pilapil will serve as defensive play caller

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State Head Coach Jay Norvell has announced a change in defensive leadership following the conclusion of defensive coordinator Freddie Banks' contract.

"I want to thank Freddie for his three seasons at Colorado State," Norvell said. "We are grateful to Freddie and his family for their contributions to our program and University, and we wish them well in their future endeavors."

Linebacker coach Adam Pilapil will serve as the program's defensive play caller for Colorado State's bowl game and Marcus Patton will coach the secondary. The Rams will announce their bowl selection on Sunday afternoon.
